Reports of a dangerous driver led to a police shooting and a major highway closure in Calgary on Sunday afternoon.
Police say the incident began after multiple reports of a dangerous driver in the area of Deerfoot Trail and Memorial Drive SE around 4:15 p.m.
When officers attempted to arrest the driver, an officer-involved shooting occurred.
One person was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries. No officers were hurt.
Northbound Deerfoot Trail is closed between Memorial and 16 Avenue NE for the investigation.
