The 2026 NBA draft officially begins on Tuesday, and it sounds like there is more clarity for how things will play out.
ESPN’s Jeremy Woo reported that the Washington Wizards “have narrowed their decision” with the No. 1 pick to BYU wing AJ Dybantsa or Kansas guard Darryn Peterson. Duke big man Cameron Boozer reportedly “is also held in high regard” by the Utah Jazz with the No. 2 pick, but “rival teams have long been operating as if Dybantsa and Peterson will be the first two names off the board.”
B/R’s Jonathan Wasserman also predicted in his final mock draft that Dybantsa, Peterson and Boozer will be the top three selections to the Wizards, Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies, in that order.
