Hundreds gathered at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church on Saturday for the Brothers Together concert.
Joshua Aaron and Aaron Shust brought the show to Winnipeg. Before the show, participants were able to meet the artists and take part in a pre-show Q&A.
Judge and Shust answered questions about their journey in music, favourite songs that they had written, and more.
When the doors opened to general admission, participants quickly filled the room in anticipation for the show.
Made in Manitoba artist, Nathan Keys, opened the show with songs including “Open the Eyes of My Heart”, “10,000 Reasons”, as well as an original song.
After a quick intermission, Shust and Aaron took the stage, performing several songs, both on their own and together.
RELATED STORIES:
Before the concert, Shust said to CHVN about Aaron, “He’s Jewish, but he follows Jesus. I’m Gentile, and I follow Jesus. We found ourselves on stage together, and a friend of ours came up to us afterwards and said, ‘I don’t think you realize how powerful that was to see Jew and Gentile on stage together, worshiping God together as something that Paul calls one new man.’ It wasn’t intentional, but there was great power. So we take that brothers together, line from Psalm 133, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity.”
“There’s something cool about the Jewish and non-Jewish believers in the last days, because we believe Jesus is coming back soon. I feel like when Aaron and I sing together, Aaron represents the nations, that Gospel that comes from the Sea of Galilee. We’ll sing in Hebrew and English. And we believe it represents the season we’re in, where the Gospel has gone from Israel around the nations, and it has to come back to Israel,” Joshua Aaron said to CHVN before the show.
Participants were treated to a night full of worship in English and Hebrew.
