University of Calgary update #18: Please attend ratification town hall

We know you have questions about our new tentative agreement and want as much information as possible before voting.

That’s why your negotiating team will hold a ratification town-hall meeting on June 24.

TIME: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 24.
LOCATION: Room Sciences Theatres 140.
VIRTUAL ATTENDANCE: We sent an email last week with a request to RSVP for in-person or online attendance. Please fill it out and send it back by noon on Monday, June 22. We need in-person numbers to purchase the pizza and refreshments.

Our employer has suggested that retroactive pay increases will be paid between 60 and 90 days after the agreement is ratified.

Former AUPE members who left their job voluntarily or who had their positions abolished will be eligible for retroactive pay if they apply withing 30 days of ratification. These requests will be processed after current employees have been paid. Additional details regarding the application process will be provided when they are available.

The ratification vote for the tentative agreement will take place between June 29 and July 2.

Voting will be online and you must have an active MyAUPE account to vote.
