WHITESBORO, N.Y — Starting next Wednesday, eligible Medicare patients will be able to enroll in the new Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program offered by Kinney Drugs.
The pilot program will provide qualifying customers access to medications, including Wegovy, Zepbound, and Fundayo, for a monthly copay of $50 through the end of 2027.
Shannon Miller, the Kinney Drugs vice president of healthcare operations, said that the program is designed to expand access to weight-loss treatments for Medicare patients who may not have previously had coverage for the medications.
To qualify, patients must be enrolled in an eligible Medicare Part D plan and meet certain health requirements.
People interested in participating need to schedule an appointment with their healthcare provider to determine whether they meet the eligibility requirements.
