Superstar entertainer Salma Hayek turned heads as she made a rare public appearance with her daughter by her side. Hayek, 59, and Valentina Paloma Pinault, 18, attended an event together in London on June 23.
According to People, the pair attended the Serpentine Summer Party 2026 in London. The event is an annual gala that raises funds to support the Serpentine Galleries.
Hayek wore a floor-length pale blue dress that hugged her iconic curves. It was sleeveless and had a cowl neckline and satin detailing, along with a large bow on one shoulder. Hayek wore her dark locks, streaked with hints of gray, in a sleek, high ponytail.
Pinault chose a black ensemble that included a handkerchief top and a low-riding floor-length skirt. Both ladies wore sunglasses at times as they posed for photographs.
The teenager is Hayek’s only child, and her father is billionaire François-Henri Pinault. He has three other children.
In October 2024, Hayek told Today that her daughter is “going her own way.” The entertainer explained, “She wants to study political science and then, as a minor, film because she wants to be a director.”
Hayek added, “But she doesn’t want to study to be a director; she said, ‘It’s in my blood. I want to spend the time learning something more complicated.’”

In September 2025, Hayek gushed over her daughter via an Instagram post shared on the teen’s 18th birthday. Hayek described her daughter as someone with “A kind passionate heart, a wise soul full of magic, a unique unstoppable force of nature with a witty sense of humor and stubborn tenacity.”
Artnet described the Serpentine Summer Party event as “the closest thing the U.K. has to a Met Gala.” The gala is invitation-only and was held at Kensington Gardens. Tickets for non-members of the organization cost between $2,630 to $6,580. Hayek was one of the hosts for the 2026 gala.
