Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found Thursday inside a tent near the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in the Ville-Marie borough.
According to SPVM, a 911 call was received at around 8 a.m. reporting an unresponsive person in a tent set up near the intersection of De Lorimier Avenue and Logan Street.
Upon arrival, first responders located a 36-year-old who was then confirmed dead. Police didn’t disclose the individual’s gender.
SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture said the circumstances surrounding the death are unclear. It is being investigated as suspicious.
