The NASCAR Cup Series returns to wine country this weekend for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Before the race way gets underway, Northern California native Tyler Reddick was one of the drivers who participated in a wine blending competition Thursday at Viansa Winery in Sonoma. Reddick was joined by Harrison Burton, John Hunter Nemechek and NASCAR legend Richard Petty for the event. Burton’s team won the event with their wine named “The Clink.” Reddick’s team took second with a wine called “Champions Blend.” “Just learning a little bit more about what makes wine so special. What goes into each type of wine and the process and learning more about that,” Reddick said. “It’s a nice way to just get together and enjoy each other’s company before we get to the race track.” Sonoma Raceway is considered a homecoming for Reddick. The Corning native is having a breakout year in 2026, becoming the first driver in the history of the Cup Series to win the first three races of a season, including the Daytona 500. Reddick arrives at Sonoma seeking his sixth win of the season and his first since April.”Definitely after win five, it was like ‘Wow, this is crazy,'” Reddick told KCRA 3’s Sean Cunningham. “Unfortunately since then, we haven’t won, but we continue to run strong and perform at a really high level.””We ran second a couple of weeks ago in Pocono and had a shot of winning this past weekend, we’re still really fast, just a couple of this weekends, we haven’t got the results,” Reddick added. “You just have to keep the train rolling.” The 30-year-old has five overall wins this season driving for 23XI Racing, a team owned by Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan.
