Marina Mabrey tied the record for most points in a single game in league history, proving more trebuchet than basketball player as Toronto downed Los Angeles, 125-97. The Notre Dame alum produced the standout outing of the WNBA season, canning effort after effort as applause rained from the Coca-Cola Coliseum faithful.

Mabrey shined under the glittering Coca-Cola Arena lights on Thursday night. The 29-year-old enjoyed success at every level of the court. She dazzled beyond the arc, sinking nine triples on the day – the joint-most in league history. She was also a steady presence at the rim, getting to the free-throw line 12 times.

Mabrey inked a two-year, $2.4 million deal with the Tempo ahead of the 2026 season. An eight-year WNBA veteran, Toronto selected Mabrey No. 6 overall in the WNBA expansion draft. She was summarily awarded the joint-largest contract on the team, sharing the title with Brittney Sykes.
