Edmonton police say charges have been laid in connection with a suspicious death in May 2021.

Around noon on Wednesday, May 12, EPS responded to a report that a man was dead near 93 Street and 105 Avenue.

Two days later, that man was confirmed to be 55-year-old Allan Freed, and his cause of death was blood loss as a result of stab wounds.

Over the course of an investigation, police were able to identify two people who were believed to be connected to the death, and have since taken 44-year-old Daniel John Sunday, and 33-year-old Ashley Dawn Dion into custody.

Both have since been charged with second degree murder.
