“Girl-Rilla” continues to roll.
Former Bellator Flyweight champion and PFL tournament winner Liz Carmouche made light work of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contender Viviane Araujo, submitting her with a guillotine choke in the second round of the PFL San Diego co-main event tonight (Sat., June 27, 2026) inside Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
The first round featured a lot of cage clinching between the two Flyweights, with both women having moments. Araujo repeatedly tried to take Carmouche down, but the Brazilian ended up getting taken down herself during one of the exchanges.
Araujo tried to get her wrestling going again in the second round, but it backfired badly.
When she shot in on a double-leg takedown, Carmouche immediately jumped guard with a tight guillotine choke. Araujo tried to fight it, but the squeeze was way too tight, forcing the tap.

Instead, Carmouche used her post-fight interview to call for a Bantamweight division, arguing that it would allow PFL to sign more women and create more opportunities.
It also sounds like the cut to Flyweight is getting tougher for the 42-year-old veteran.
Nevertheless, Carmouche (26-8) is now riding a four-fight win streak and has gone 6-1 since joining PFL. Whether it happens at Flyweight or somewhere else, it still feels like Carmouche and Ditcheva need to collide sooner rather than later.
