A man in his 20s has died after a crash in Brampton Saturday night, said Peel Regional Police.
Officers responded around 10:44 p.m. to a two vehicle crash near McVean Drive and Countryside Drive, said Const. Laurie McCann at the scene Sunday.
The passenger of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, she said. The driver from that same vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver and three passengers in the other vehicle were taken to hospital, said McCann. She said the driver and one passenger have life threatening injuries, another passenger has non-life threatening injuries and the third passenger has life altering injuries.
All of the individuals involved in the incident are men in the 20s and no other details will be shared until families have been informed, she said.

When officers arrived at the scene, one vehicle was in the intersection and the other had veered off the road into the lawn of a nearby home, said McCann.
“It is early on in the investigation, but it does appear that one of the vehicles did run a red light,” she said, adding that alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
She said investigators are looking into the case and that “charges are pending.”
McCann said there have been three major collisions in the Peel region over the past 24 hours. She urged drivers to not drink before getting into a vehicle and to be aware of their surroundings, including traffic lights and pedestrians.
She urged anyone with information or video to contact police.
All roads have reopened after earlier closures for cleanup efforts and the investigation, said Peel police.
Many drivers speed through crash intersection: resident
Gemma Giangregorio, a resident in the area, was out for an evening walk when she heard “a big bang” and several sirens nearby.
“There [were] probably families waiting for these people to get home and it’s just unfortunate,” she said.
She said people often speed through that intersection and that others have also died in the past from crashes.
“This is a really bad intersection,” she said. “I actually see cars just flying down [the road]. It’s quite sad.”
