On Sunday, Peel police announced the arrest of a man accused of killing his parents. Police were called to a home near Lakeshore Road E. and Hurontario Street, just after 7 p.m. on June 18 for reports of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a man and woman with life-threatening injuries. They were later pronounced dead in hospital. 46-year-old Jordan Sangwin was arrested by Toronto police at around 5 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a tip from the public. Sangwin has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his parents.
