Dylan Garand agreed to a one-year extension, the team announced on Sunday. Financial details were not disclosed.

Garand, 23, has spent the past three seasons with the Rangers’ AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack.

Over 112 games, Garand holds a .902 save percentage and 2.92 goals-against average.

However, the Victoria native is coming off his best season to date, recording a .913 save percentage and 2.73 GAA over 39 games while posting a 20-10-8 record.

The six-foot-one, 176-pound netminder was originally selected by the Rangers in the fourth round of the 2020 draft. He’s competed for Canada at the 2021 and 2022 world juniors in addition to this year’s world championship.
