Rick and Morty season 9 is hurtling towards its final episodes, but don’t worry: there’s plenty more to come from this duo and the wild universe they inhabit.
The latest episode, titled Erickerhead in a nod to David Lynch’s surreal classic, sees Morty and Summer deal with the fallout from their grandpa separating his head from the rest of his body.

When is Rick and Morty season 9 episode 7 out?
Rick and Morty season 9 episode 7, titled Mortgully: The Last Rickforest, will premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday 5 July 2026 in the US, with the UK release to follow on Monday 6 July via HBO Max.
Previous seasons have aired first on Channel 4 in the UK, but that arrangement ceased following the long-awaited launch of HBO Max in the UK earlier this year.

In the US, Rick and Morty season 9 will be available on HBO Max eventually, but from the later date of 15 June 2026. Until then, it will be exclusive to Adult Swim across the pond.
