JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – UAB women’s soccer (0-1-1) played to a 1-1 draw at ETSU (2-0) on Sunday afternoon. 

The first half went scoreless with both teams playing stout defense. The Buccaneers had two shots in the first while the Blazers had one. 

Mia Leath got the Green and Gold on the board in the 68th minute, scoring her first goal of the season. It also marked Leath’s second career goal. The Blazers held on to the lead for 18 minutes as the clock was winding down, but ETSU’s Reagan Fitzgerald scored in the 86th minute. It marked her second goal this season. 

UAB keeper Leah Parsons faced nine shots in the match and had two saves on the afternoon. 

Up next, the Blazers travel to Oxford, Mississippi to take face Ole Miss. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.
