The emergency department will be closed starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow
There will be a closure of the emergency department in Thessalon this week due to physician shortages.
The North Shore Health Network says the emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 2. It’s not scheduled to reopen until 10 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
A nurse practitioner will be available on site throughout the closure until the department reopens.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed.
