Page came out as transgender in December 2020 and has spoken openly about the personal growth that came in the years after. After undergoing top surgery, Page posted a shirtless selfie in 2023, using the caption to document how his relationship with his body had changed.
“Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt, or layers and oh so sweaty, constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T. It feels so f’ing good soaking in the sun now,” he wrote.

In a recent Democracy Now interview, Page turned his attention to transgender people, offering a direct message to those dealing with a hard public climate. “I hope for anyone who’s struggling in this time and the headlines, just to know that you’re not alone and loved and celebrated by so many,” said Page, set to appear in Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey.
Page also addressed those who speak against transgender people, saying, “Try to block out the noise from absolute vile losers who must be so profoundly uncomfortable with themselves they can’t handle that someone could get to a place that I think trans people do get to, which is a level of self-acceptance and understanding that I think is really profound.”
