Cadillac will mark the 250th anniversary of US independence with a special one-off red, white, and blue color scheme this weekend.
The July 4 celebrations for the team will—in something of an ironic twist—take place at the British Grand Prix, with the 250th anniversary falling on Saturday, the occasion of the Sprint Race and grand prix qualifying.
The MAC-26 will deviate from its usual white-and-black scheme for a livery inspired by the Stars and Stripes, and will be sported by Checo Perez and Valtteri Bottas through the weekend.
Cadillac’s pit garages, the driver helmets, and the team kit will all reflect the one-off livery too.

“The 4th of July weekend is a moment for us to show our continued pride in representing the United States on the global stage of F1,” said Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings.
“We want to use it as an opportunity to allow new communities to discover the sport and share our passion.”
U.K.-based Phillip Horton started covering Grands Prix while still at university and swiftly deemed that writing about Formula 1 and the behind-the-scenes machinations was much more engaging than reading centuries-old novels.
