Crime of the week: Information sought in June 16 central Surrey shooting

A central Surrey shooting incident that is not believed to be linked to extortion has made Crime Stoppers’ Crime of the Week.
The shots fired happened in the early morning hours of June 16, shortly after 2 a.m., near Central Avenue and 133 Street.
When they arrived, Surrey Police Service officers located gunfire damage to a parked and unoccupied vehicle, according to a release.
The investigation is in its early stages and the motive for the shots fired is unknown, but it is believed to be targeted and not extortion related.
