ANN ARBOR, Mich. — University of Michigan men’s tennis head coach Sean Maymi announced the addition of Fredrik Solheim to the Wolverines’ program on Thursday (July 2).
A native of Oslo, Norway, Solheim brings international experience to Ann Arbor after capturing five ITF Junior doubles titles and one ITF Junior singles championship. He also reached the finals of two ITF M15 doubles tournaments.
Among the top young players in Norway, Solheim has been ranked No. 2 nationally in his age group since he was 16 years old. He owns career-best ATP rankings of No. 1,088 in doubles and No. 1,851 in singles.
