Carney, thanks for the agreement to build a new pipeline to Vancouver. Now if you could cancel the onerous, insane, financially irresponsible carbon tax and so-called carbon sequestering investments the oil and gas industry has to put in place, you might even be forgiven the wealth transfer to Vancouver condo builders. Real sequestering, for Canada, will occur when carbon is returned to its inert state in the ground, put back by plants as nature intended.

Re: Lorne Gunther on the Alberta Rebate Program (Lorne Gunter: Alberta UCP’s convoluted, error-ridden energy rebate process just weak-kneed politics, July 3). The process is completely ridiculous. Yes I applied, already had an account, but when it went to the banking process, I got a warning from my bank that it could be a scam, so I got out without completing. I may try again, but is it worth the effort. I do not think the Goverment of Alberta IT consulted with the banking institutions and many people who qualify will receive not this benefit.
