WWE Reviving Old ECW Pay-Per-View Event

WWE

WWE is reportedly set to revive an old ECW pay-per-view event next month amid a reported unannounced show taking place on September 20.

With AEW set to host it’s All Out pay-per-view event in Toronto on September 20, it was recently reported that WWE would be looking to once again run an event alongside AEW’s event.

After the initial report from POST Wrestling, speculation emerged on what the name of the event would be, with speculation that the Bad Blood name would once again be used.

However, it seems like that won’t be the case, and instead an old ECW event will be revived, as WrestleVotes took to Twitter, reporting that the event would use the ‘Wrestlepalooza’ name.

They tweeted:

September 20th, it’s a “Wrestlepalooza”…

ECW held three Wrestlepalooza events over the years, the first taking place in 1995, before it was reused again in 1997, 1998 and 2000.

NXT has been using another ECW pay-per-view name, Heatwave, since 2022, with the next edition of the event set to take place on August 24, the same day as AEW’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London.
