“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” G.R.L. said in a statement on Instagram, which was signed by members Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula van Oppen.

It is not clear how Bennett died.

Bennett’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

Bennett sang on “Party Rock Anthem,” which was No. 1 on Billboard’s chart for six weeks in 2011. The song was one of two songs by LMFAO to reach No. 1; the other was “Sexy and I Know It.”
