Despite Canada exiting the FIFA Men’s World Cup, many in our local communities are still cheering on other nations that are still in the tournament.

Hamilton’s Portuguese community geared up to watch Cristiano Ronaldo and Team Portugal square off against archrivals and neighbouring country Spain Monday afternoon, in round of 16 action.

Much of Canada saw the Portuguese passion in last week’s match in Toronto, but now it’s back to familiar grounds, whether it be at a cafe or at a social club like the Hamilton Portuguese Band Hall on MacNab Street.
