A victim of a reported assault is in the hospital after they were attacked around the Beltline area Tuesday morning, Calgary police say.
Officers say they received calls at 7 a.m. for an assault at 16 Street and 12 Avenue SW.
Calgary police say a victim was found and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, adding they are in stable condition.
However, EMS tells CityNews that the victim was taken to hospital in serious condition and is not believed to be in life-threatening condition.
Meanwhile, officers say one person is in custody.
While the investigation is ongoing, the area will have a “significant” police presence.
