The two went punch for punch at Nationals Park, with the Nats holding off a late Astros charge to take a 12-11 win. That was the fourth game in six wins for Washington, while Houston fell into the loss column after back-to-back wins over the weekend.

For the Astros, ninth hitter and center fielder Brice Matthews had a big game. He finished 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs driven in, while scoring two runs of his own. Second baseman Jose Altuve and catcher Yainer Diaz also homered for Houston.
