Held at Twin Stacks Golf Club in Coniston, proceeds from the inaugural GoodMakers Golf Tournament will support the work of Rotary Impact Club 7010
Sudbury.com’s inaugural GoodMakers Golf Tournament raised $4,000, funds that will be used to support the work of a local Rotary Club.
Held June 19 at Twin Stacks Golf Club in Coniston, the event brought together sponsors and supporters for a day of golf, prizes and fundraising.
“When we first began planning this event, we hoped it would bring our community together for a great day of golf while supporting a worthy cause,” said Mel Junge, regional group sales manager for Village Media North East. “Thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals like you, it became so much more. The enthusiasm, support and kindness shown throughout the planning process and on tournament day were nothing short of inspiring.”
The $4,000 raised will support the work of Rotary Impact Club 7010.
Golfers enjoyed Caesars from The Keg and ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery, while Capture the Moments were on hand with photo booth so teams could save a memory of the day.
“One of the highlights of the tournament was our exciting Hole-in-One Contest,” Junge said.
“Thank you to Ashley Furniture for providing the incredible grand prize, and to Richard Denton, who volunteered as our official witness while handing out delicious cookies generously donated by Regency Bakery to every golfer who stepped up to the tee.”
The Moonlight Buskers were also on hand to provide a live music soundtrack for the day.
“A very special thank you goes to the entire team at Twin Stacks Golf Club for your exceptional hospitality, beautiful course, and outstanding steak dinner,” Junge said. I would also like to sincerely thank every business and individual who generously donated prizes. Every donation, large or small, helped make the day memorable for everyone who attended.”
