Five major ribfests are scheduled to take over southern Ontario communities this weekend, including multiday events in Mississauga, Waterloo, Woodbridge, Whitby and Goderich.
These outdoor summer festivals will feature everything from specialized barbecue ribbers, live musical entertainment and dedicated kid zones.

Mississauga Rotary Ribfest
The Rotary Clubs of Mississauga and Mississauga West call this the city’s biggest barbecue event of the year. The event features six ribbers and other food vendors, live entertainment and more.
Waterloo Rib and Beer Fest
The Waterloo event features live music Friday to Sunday, a kids zone, beer market, ribs and more.
Woodbridge Ribfest X
The Ribfest X series arrives for a three-day event featuring ribbers Ribs Royale BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ, Jack the Ribber BBQ and Boss Hogs BBQ, plus other food vendors and live entertainment.
Whitby Ribfest Plus
The Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise hosts a traditional three-day ribfest event, but adds a unique feature this year. There’s a public zone that’s open all weekend, plus a ticketed concert zone on Friday evening, giving people access to a concert headlined by The Trews.
Goderich Kinsmen Summerfest/Ribfest
The Kinsmen Club of Goderich’s annual Summerfest event, which runs Thursday to Sunday, includes this year, for the first time, ribfest running Friday to Sunday.
