Well, well… Fery pins Cobolli with a deep return. An error from the Italian is quickly followed by another as he puts the forehand long! Fery is two points away from a two-set lead.

Cobolli fires an ace down the T. The defence from Fery! He asks Cobolli to go again, and again, and again, until finally the lob from Fery drops long.

Fery nets on the backhand down the line and Cobolli roars to himself as he keeps himself alive.

Too good from Cobolli. Fery was hanging on from the baseline, leaping to his left to keep the ball in play with the backhand slices, but the Italian thunders the forehand winner.
