Vancouver’s professional women’s hockey team is offering the chance to “train like a pro” at two hockey camps in Surrey this summer.
The Vancouver Goldeneyes will be running a high-performance camp and one for hockey players ages six to 17 at any level. The camps are led by members of the Vancouver Goldeneyes staff and guest coaches.
The youth hockey camp for players aged six to 17 takes place on August 17-18 at the North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex.
The camp costs $300 and includes 2 1/2 hours of ice time and off-ice training and sessions.
Participants in both camps will get a camp jersey and T-shirt.
The high-performance camp takes place August 19- 21 at the North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex for U13S, U15S, and U18S.
The camp is for “players competing at the highest level in their age category or those that wish to,” reads the event description.”This program is open to youth hockey players ages 10-18, and will focus on developing core skills, improving hockey IQ, and building confidence in a fast-paced, supportive environment.”
The three-day camp includes 7 1/2 hours of ice time, off-ice training sessions, classroom sessions, and lunch. Registration is $875.
The professional women’s hockey league (PWHL) is hosting more than 30 summer hockey camps in cities across Canada and the United States.
