Montreal police arson investigators are hoping local surveillance cameras will shed light on how a car parked in the city’s Riviere-des-Prairies district caught fire late Thursday.

Police said 911 calls reported the incident around 11:45 p.m., and that a vehicle parked at the corner of Arthur-Léveillé St. and 5th Ave. was a total loss.

Flames that spread from that vehicle damaged an SUV and pickup truck parked nearby.

There was no evidence of incendiary devices being used at the site and there were no injuries reported.

The car where the fire started has been towed away for further analysis.
