ROSES AND ROTTEN TOMATOES: Rotten tomatoes for overlooking Surrey safety
Published 7:00 am Friday, July 10, 2026
• Roses and thank you to all the crews working on SkyTrain – all your hard work is going to make Surrey so much better for all of us.
• Roses if Surrey Police giving tickets to people riding (electric) scooters; they are illegal in Surrey. Rotten Tomatoes if Surrey Police are not ticketing people riding scooters. Rotten Tomatoes to Principals of schools allowing students to bring scooters on school grounds. Enforce the rules.
• I would love to return the Rotten Tomatoes to the person who posted about Stage 2 water restrictions. Perhaps it would help to read what is actually permitted under the restrictions. Under Surrey’s Stage 2 water restrictions, you may wash or pressure wash outdoor surfaces at any day and any time using a handheld hose or pressure washer. You may also continue to water trees and shrubs after 9 a.m.
• Rotten Tomatoes to those in charge of Surrey for overlooking the safety of all Surrey residents who live in older areas of Surrey. We have missing curbs and sidewalks, narrow roads where roads have been pushed through. Some of these subdivisions are over 50 years old. If not now, then when? We will vote for a mayor who will look after our safety. To those who overlook/ignore Surrey taxpayers – we pay your wages with Surrey taxes.
