FDA recalls more than 2.5 million bottles of commonly prescribed steroid eye drops

The FDA has announced a class two recall of more than two and a half million bottles of commonly prescribed steroid eye drops.

The recall was issued due to a foreign substance found in the eye drops according to the FDA.

The recalled products include dozens of lot numbers with expiration dates ranging from July 2026 through February 2028.

Patients should check the lot number printed on their bottle or packaging against the FDA’s recall list.
