An Edmonton-area massage therapist faces six more counts of sexual assault, after RCMP in Leduc, Alta., investigated several more complaints regarding incidents that occurred at a clinic just south of Alberta’s capital city.
Julio Uribe Beltran, 36, now faces a total of seven counts of sexual assault. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) charged him last month for allegedly touching a female client in a sexual manner at Beltran’s Edmonton practice, Bamboo Wellness, located in an industrial area on the city’s south side.
The EPS’s announcement of that offence led five more survivors to come forward to the Leduc RCMP. Ensuing investigations resulted in the additional charges, according to an RCMP news release issued Friday afternoon.
According to the release, the sexual misconduct reported to the RCMP occurred over a 10-month span, from July 2025 to April 2026, at True Touch Massage Therapy and Fitness, on 49th Avenue in Leduc.
CBC News independently confirmed that the man charged by the RCMP and EPS is the same person.
Beltran was released from custody with “numerous conditions,” including having no contact with the complainants.
He had also been released on conditions for the Edmonton offence, with a court appearance scheduled for July 22.
For the Leduc charges, he is set to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on Aug. 6, RCMP said.
Police believe there could be more survivors. They’re encouraging other complainants, or people with relevant information, to either contact local police or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
