A new three-on-three soccer tournament is coming to Strathmore this summer.
The inaugural PPFF 3v3 Soccer Tournament, presented by the Woodcreek Virtual Lions Club, is scheduled for Aug. 15 and 16 at the Ranch Market Soccer Fields, home of the Strathmore Soccer Association.
The event will feature a fast-paced, small-sided format across eight age and gender divisions, ranging from U10-U11 coed to open divisions for players aged 16 and older.

Benjamin Parkins, youth programs director with PPFF, said the tournament is designed to make soccer more accessible while bringing the community together.
“Our goal with this tournament is to break down barriers to the sport, celebrate Canada’s hosting of the World Cup and bring the community together,” Parkins said in a news release.
“Following the energy of the World Cup, we want to give local players a unique, fast-paced environment to showcase their skills, while offering families a fun, accessible weekend out.”
Organizers say two playing fields will host continuous games throughout the weekend. The event will also include spectator areas, a skills zone, warm-up and training stations, and food trucks.
Registration is open until July 15. Teams of up to four players can enter for an $80 registration fee.
Games are scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 15 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 16. Spectators are welcome to attend at no cost.
