A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a three-vehicle collision in Montreal’s Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough on Friday evening.
Montreal police (SPVM) responded to the crash around 8:20 p.m. following multiple 911 calls reporting a collision at the intersection of Boulevard de l’Acadie and Rue Saint-Roch.
The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with significant lower-body injuries but remained conscious. By about 10 p.m., medical officials confirmed his condition had stabilized and that his life was no longer in danger, according to SPVM spokesperson Johany Charland.
Police said a sedan travelling south on Boulevard de l’Acadie was turning onto Rue Saint-Roch when it collided with the oncoming motorcycle. The impact also caused the sedan to strike a second vehicle that was stopped on Saint-Roch Street.
The two drivers involved, a 69-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
