Rodent and insect activity was found in the reopened stall over a week ago.

Chopsticks Express resume service on July 9, nine days after Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) ordered the food stall closed due to pest infestation and unsanitary conditions, according to an updated inspection report.

On June 30, Chopstick Express inside the Yaohan Centre food court in Richmond was ordered to shut down following a routine VCH inspection.

Inspectors identified six infractions, five of which were critical.

The violations included evidence of rodent and insect activity, and unhygienic equipment, utensils and food-contact services.
