Currently holding onto the final playoff spot in the WNBA, the Washington Mystics embark on a make-or-break part of their schedule, with six games over the next 11 days.
Beating up on the lowly Seattle Storm this afternoon would be the perfect way to kick it off.
With Sonia Citron expected back in the lineup for Washington, my Storm vs. Mystics predictions and WNBA picks have the home team taking care of business.

Without their leading scorer Sonia Citron (knee), the Washington Mystics managed just 49 points against Golden State last game and still rank near the bottom of the WNBA in scoring and shooting efficiency.
Fortunately, the Seattle Storm haven’t shown the offensive consistency to capitalize. Washington’s best path is inside, where it ranks second in the league with 41.5 paint points per game against a Storm defense that’s merely average in that area.
Seattle has also struggled away from home, posting a league-worst 2-10 road record. I’d back Washington to cover as favorites up to -5.5.
COVERS INTEL: Washington was held to just 16 second-half points last game against Golden State, the lowest half-point total in the W since 2021. That shouldn’t be an issue today: Seattle ranks dead last in second-half scoring in 2026, at 35.4 points per game.

Shakira Austin has been a big-time board member this season, ranking Top 5 in the WNBA at 9.3 rebounds per game.
She’s been even better of late, pulling down double-digit boards in four of her last five and going Over 8.5 rebounds in five straight. Seattle also happens to surrender the second-most rebounds per game.
We’ll turn to Seattle rookie Flau’jae Johnson’s assist line to wrap up this SGP. It’s a generous and gettable number at 2.5, considering Johnson has topped this total in five straight and in six of the last seven.
