The ultimate creative toy store is opening not one, but three new locations at malls in Ontario, including one in Toronto.
LEGO is set to launch at the Toronto Eaton Centre, and will also be opening soon at CF Markville in Markham, as well as Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.
According to the company, all three locations are “coming soon.”
“Build your imagination with LEGO. Explore limitless possibilities with Lego sets, figures, blocks, technic, and mindstorm,” states the Eaton Centre’s opening announcement. “Toys that inspire creativity and STEM learning for kids of all ages. Find sets from your children’s favourite movie, television, video game, book franchises and more!”
The Toronto store will mark its first downtown location.

Besides their local locations, there are more than 200 LEGO stores worldwide, according to the company. And while no job openings are listed for the new stores yet, LEGO is hiring retail store team members for its Fairview Mall location, with the starting salary for the position at $25.15.
The name ‘LEGO’ is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt,” which translates to “play well,” states the company.
Founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen, the LEGO Group has since been passed from generation to generation, and it is still owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family today.
