The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada is hosting an Airport Extravaganza from July 13-19.
The weeklong event will see families and children participating in airport themed activities.
“It’s a super fun family event where our hangar has turned into an interactive airport experience,” says Project Coordinator, Tallia Penner.

Fun while flying
The goal of the event is to allow children to experience an airport in a low-pressure setting.
“Kids can have fun going through things like security and experiencing that airport experience but without all the actual security clearances to get through,” says Director of Marketing and Creative Services, James Mitchell.
Families can get acquainted and comfortable with air-travel at the extravaganza.
Mitchell shares, “It’s about becoming more comfortable in an aviation and an airport experience. It helps families prepare for travelling.”
Staff enjoy seeing visitors being creative. “I love seeing the kids using their imagination,” says Penner.
