Taylor Swift Excites Fans With ‘Best Album Cover Yet’ originally appeared on Parade.

Fans are gagged about Taylor Swift’s newest announcement.

On Monday morning, a countdown appeared on the 35-year-old singer’s website, set to end at 2 p.m. ET. Unlike the sparkly orange background that teased the announcement of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, last Monday, this countdown featured a glittering violet backdrop — sparking speculation and frenzy among fans.

Though many were expecting the announcement of a lead single, right when the countdown ended, Swift instead announced that two limited editions of her album were coming to vinyl. Her newest and limited release, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Shiny Bug Vinyl Collection,” comes in two versions: a violet shimmery vinyl and a wintergreen & onyx marble vinyl. Fans have to hurry, though, because they are only available for purchase for the next 48 hours.

The “Cruel Summer” singer also went to social media to post the alternate cover of The Life of a Showgirl, which shows her leaning against a wall wearing a dark purple shimmery bodysuit. The photos were taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who also shot the cover for her 2017 album, reputation.

It didn’t take long for Swifties to flood social media with their reactions to the new drop.

“The visuals for this era,” a fan commented on X. “your best album yet is coming.”

“MOTHER IS MOTHERING,” a fan account dedicated to Swift wrote.

“this is THEE PHOTO!!!!” a fan wrote. “SPEECHLESS.”

Another pointed out, “her best album cover yet.”

“taylor i was not aware of your game omg,” one said.

“She’s SERVING AS ALWAYS,” another wrote.

Fans have until Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET to purchase The Life of a Showgirl: The Shiny Bug Vinyl Collection for $29.99 on her official website. Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is set to be released on October 3.
