Yellowhead Trail in north Edmonton has flooded for the second time in a week following an overnight storm.
Police say traffic is being diverted from the area, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
The Edmonton Police Service issued an advisory before 3 a.m. on Wednesday that underpasses on the thoroughfare were flooded between 97th and 184th streets.
A few hours later, the City of Edmonton posted an alert to motorists, noting that traffic in both directions is affected between 121st and 156th streets. It said flooding has impacted underpasses from St. Albert Trail to 170th Street.
The city said crews are on-site and working to restore the roads.
Yellowhead Trail previously flooded on Friday, causing the thoroughfare to close from 66th Street to 121st Street.
