DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR will debut a revised Next Gen superspeedway package for the 2026 Cup Series regular-season finale at Daytona International Speedway, featuring a 4-inch rear spoiler, wide splitter stuffers and a reduced 27/32-inch engine tapered spacer that produces approximately 465 horsepower.
The package also includes new spoiler braces and a redesigned spoiler deflection device, while safety equipment remains unchanged from the current superspeedway configuration.
NASCAR projects single-car speeds to be 2-3 mph faster than current qualifying speeds, with maximum pack speeds remaining similar to current levels. Computational fluid dynamics testing also indicated drivers are more likely to complete a pass with a 5-mph closing run under the new rules package.
