A Strathmore man is facing charges after police allege he was involved in a Calgary optical store robbery that resulted in about $700,000 worth of stolen eyewear.
Police said two men allegedly stole the merchandise from Vaskis Optique, located in northeast Calgary, on July 8.
Investigators allege one suspect initially entered the business and requested to see expensive merchandise before leaving the store.
Police say the man later returned with a second suspect, who was wearing a disguise. Investigators allege the pair restrained and assaulted two employees during the incident, while also damaging display cases and causing about $14,000 in damage.
