Fever vs. Storm: The matchup
The Fever come out of a showdown with the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night that ended with an 88-75 loss that snapped a run of four wins in five previous contests. Indiana attempted nine more shots than Golden State in the losing effort, but collectively shot just 40% from the floor and saw Clark struggle from 3-point range for the second straight night. After hitting just 1-of-5 from beyond the arc her previous time out, Clark went just 1-for-8 on her way to finishing with 13 points. On the other side, the Valkyries hit 52% from the floor and had three bench players score in double figures.
Seattle arrives in Indianapolis as hefty underdogs (-9.5) and with the worst record in the WNBA (6-20). The Storm have lost three straight contests, five of their past six and 16 of their past 19 with a group that ranks 13th in the WNBA in scoring (80.4 ppg), 14th in shooting (42.7%) and 14th in assists (18.8 apg). Veteran guard Natisha Hiedeman has been a steady force for Seattle, leading the team in scoring (15.8 ppg) and assists (4.3 apg) playing as a No. 1 option for the first time in her career.
