NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Legendary singer and musician Robert Plant is receiving a special award at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
The larger-than-life frontman of Led Zeppelin is will be awarded the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award during the 25th Annual Americana Honors & Awards ceremony Sep. 16 at the Ryman Auditorium.
During his superstardom with Led Zeppelin and beyond to his Americana and folk solo career collaborating with artists such as Patty Griffin and Alison Krauss , Plant has experimented with and taken inspiration from Americana music ranging from blues, gospel, folk, country and sounds across genres.
“Robert Plant’s relationship with Americana music extends far beyond influence—it is one of genuine passion, stewardship and artistic curiosity,” said Jed Hilly, Executive Director of the Americana Music Association. “His willingness to immerse himself in the traditions of blues, folk, country and gospel, while continuing to push their boundaries, has expanded the audience for Americana around the world. Few artists have done more to honor the music’s past while helping shape its future. We are thrilled to recognize his extraordinary contributions with the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award.”
The awards ceremony takes place as part of AMERICANAFEST, which will take place September 15-19, 2026 in Nashville.
