Airdrie country artist Brandon Lorenzo has been nominated for three Josie Music Awards, with the awards set to be presented in September at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Lorenzo received nominations for Country Male Artist of the Year, Country Male Vocalist of the Year (Alumni) and Holiday Album/EP of the Year for Home for Christmas.
He said the recognition is both humbling and meaningful, particularly because the ceremony takes place at one of country music’s most iconic venues.
“I’m incredibly honoured and humbled to be nominated for three Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry,” Lorenzo said. “To be recognized among so many talented artists is something I’ll never take for granted.”

Home for Christmas receives special recognition
While Lorenzo said each nomination is significant, he noted the recognition for Home for Christmas carries special meaning.
“The nomination that especially touches my heart is for Home for Christmas,” he said. “That album was a true labour of love, rooted in faith, family, and the spirit of Christmas, so seeing it recognized on a stage as iconic as the Grand Ole Opry means more than I can put into words.”
According to Lorenzo, the Christmas album was recorded with a team that included producer Johnny Gasparic, musicians Bradley Justin, Kudding Russell Broom and Brenda Waters.
Looking ahead to September
Lorenzo thanked his family, band, industry partners and supporters for helping him reach the milestone, while also expressing gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate alongside fellow nominees.
“I’m excited to celebrate with so many amazing artists in September, and I’m truly grateful to everyone who has supported this journey,” he said.
The Josie Music Awards recognize independent artists from across a range of musical genres and will be held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville this September.
