The Toronto Argonauts are bringing back one of the top pass rushers in CFL history.
Shawn Lemon, 37, has signed with the Argos, the CFL team announced Tuesday.
Lemon played for Toronto from 2017-19, registering 28 sacks.
He played the past three years for the Montreal Alouettes, though he suited up for only nine games over the past two seasons while serving a suspension for betting on CFL games, including one he played in with the Calgary Stampeders in 2021.
The Akron NCAA product has played for eight of nine CFL teams, with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats the only squad missing from his resumé.
Lemon has 103 career sacks, putting him in the top 15 in the league. He is a three-time Grey Cup champion and was the West finalist for most outstanding defensive player as a Stampeder in 2022.
The Argos also announced they have re-signed defensive lineman DeWayne Hendrix after recently releasing the American.
