Some Manitobans, particularly those outside Winnipeg, may find they are unable to call emergency services on Wednesday.
That’s because an outage is preventing some Bell customers from calling 911, the telecommunications company said in an email.
“We are investigating a suspected third-party fibre cut and are working to restore service as quickly as possible,” Bell wrote, describing it as an “evolving situation.”
Manitobans who need emergency services — such as police, fire or ambulance — are being told to call each department’s direct phone number, or go in person.
